Update for Patients with Colorado Medicaid Coverage (also known as Health First Colorado)
What is changing and when?
Current Orthodontics: If you are currently in orthodontic treatment with our office, nothing will change. Your treatment will continue with no interruption!
New Orthodontics: If you previously had a Smile Consult with Dr. Isaac and were planning to start treatment using your Medicaid coverage, we can help you transfer your orthodontic records to an in-network office of your choice to start your orthodontic treatment.
Checkups and Cleanings: We will continue to be available to patients age 18 and under only with Medicaid coverage for dental checkups and cleanings through Tuesday November 30, 2021. We will remove all cleaning appointments scheduled after Tuesday November 30, 2021 for all patients with Medicaid. If you change your coverage, we can help you get your cleaning rescheduled.
Dental treatment and emergencies: We will continue to be available to existing patients age 18 and under only with Medicaid coverage for treatment appointments and dental emergencies through Thursday, December 30, 2021. We will remove all appointments scheduled after Thursday, December 30, 2021 for all patients with Medicaid coverage. If you change your coverage, we can help you get your appointment rescheduled.
What does this mean for me?
We will make all efforts to assist you in receiving uninterrupted care. We have listed some options for your future dental care:
Transfer service: If you retain your Medicaid coverage now and in the future, the Dentaquest provider directory is a great resource to find a new dental office that is accepting new patients with Medicaid.
We will help you transfer your records to your new office. Just submit the record transfer form on our website, which can be found.
New dental coverage: There may be options for you to change dental insurance coverage now or in the future. We continue to accept a wide range of insurances. If you obtain new coverage, our team would be happy to help you learn more about your new coverage.
Self-pay discounts: If you no longer have Medicaid coverage now or in the future, we are happy to extend our pricing for self-pay patients without any insurance coverage. We also offer multiple convenient options for self pay patients, including credit card payment, Care Credit, and cash discounts.
We are grateful for your trust in our office and in the care that we provide. Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions or concerns.
